Since the announcement of the new 5G network for super fast mobile data, a lot of people have been left scratching their heads and wondering what was wrong with 4G in the first place? Sure, it’s not quite as fast as a home internet connection, but you can download a full movie in a comparatively short time as it is. Why is money being invested in this new tech when 4G isn’t even available to the entirety of the country yet? Would funds not be better spent in other areas?
Google Stadia 5G Cloud Gaming & Stadia 5G Streaming
Luckily for Google Stadia fans, though, the rolling out of 5G represents an exciting opportunity for game streaming. At a maximum theoretical speed of 10 gigabits per second (gbps), the 5G network would be able to run the highest quality Stadia games possible in superb quality and without fear of latency!
Of course, this is only a theoretical speed and in reality very few connections would make it this high, However, when you consider that even a 4G network could reach 100mbps—and Stadia only requires 20mbps to function relatively smoothly—the future is looking bright for Stadia’s game streaming capabilities.
Now, it’s just a matter of waiting to see if a release for Android and iOS operating systems will be released to the public or not.
